Rep. John Murtha, the House defense spending cardinal and iconic Johnstown, PA, representative, is now stable, his spokesman Matthew Mazonkey said Wednesday.
Politico reported yesterday that Murtha was in intensive care following complications resulting from laparoscopic surgery to remove his gallbladder at Bethesda Naval Hospital last week. The 77-year-old Murtha is now being treated at the Virginia Hospital Center.
