Vice President Joseph Biden will be hosting a dinner at the Naval Observatory Thursday night. Among the guests whose names were released by OVP:

  • Amb. Richard C. Holbrooke, special envoy for South Asia
  • Bruce Riedel, chair, NSC review on Afghanistan/Pakistan
  • Steve Coll, president, New America Foundation 
  • Jim Dobbins, Rand Corporation
  • Barnett Rubin, director of studies and senior fellow at the Center on International Cooperation, New York University
  • David Kilcullen, former advisor to Gen. David Petraeus, now at CNAS

Holbrooke returned from a trip to the region Tuesday morning.
